Lucía Matamoros is a communications professional and journalist with over a decade of experience in media, specializing in coverage of politics, education, and culture. She currently serves as the Director of Public Awareness at the National School Choice Awareness Foundation and is also a journalist for La Alianza, a Spanish-language news platform in the U.S.

Lucía has worked across television, radio, and digital platforms, contributing to prominent outlets such as RCN TV, NTN24, Colmundo Radio, El Tiempo, and La Mega in both Venezuela and Colombia. She lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband and their dog Mojito. Having previously lived in Colombia, Venezuela, and Canada, Lucía brings a global perspective to her work and a deep appreciation for cultural diversity—always highlighting the richness and authenticity of her culture.
